A 2001 Volvo V70 T5. 143,000 miles, most records since new, and it’s in really nice condition.
Going to Greensboro (green car, Greensboro) on Saturday. I cannot wait!

Auto or manual? Are you going to open up the exhaust and make it sound great?

Nice! Congrats man!!

P2's are nice. I mean it’s no P80, but I guess some people like AWD, more comfort, and more power, and a PCV that doesn’t need nearly as much maintenance.
Welcome to the Volvo club.

Good selection.

Also are these FWD or AWD?

.

AWD was an option, but it’s one of those options that either everyone opted for in the US, or possibly only imported here in AWD.

Welcome to the wagon crowd.

Congrats! My step dads a mega Volvo nerd owned many. If you need any quality used parts in the future check http://www.erievolvo.com/ They are awesome We’ve used them a few times. Hooked me up when I did this to his v70. Made up for it by repairing it and picking him up the Blipshift “Brckd” design.

Thanks, Robbie (remember him?) said that they were really easy to work with and super helpful with Volvo parts.

Absolutely, I have a few. Thankfully the people we bought it from are Volvo mechanics and know the cars inside and out.

Mine is FWD but yeah less problems are less problems. I’m so excited to join the club.

Seems smart.

It’s an auto, and like most V70's (not XC70's) it’s FWD. We were looking at a similar AWD that was $2000 more.

Yeah, no doubt.

Imagine the look on people’s faces when they get gapped by a Volvo wagon with a stock intake and exhaust. Is it automatic or spaceball?
![]() 11/03/2016 at 22:55 |
|
Automatic. FWD T5 V70's in the US were auto only, and of the rare AWD T5's, between zero and one were manuals (that were not R’). We were looking at an S60 2.5T with the spaceball, but it sold too quick.

Ahh, so you’d be limited to 250 lb-ft in first and second with the tune in order to save the transmission. Either way, damn cool.

Yep. I’ll give you a hint. They have the most spice bazaars in the greater Raleigh Durham area...
![]() 11/04/2016 at 11:10 |

According to The Google, “Spice Bazaar,” is an Indian grocery store in Durham.
I’m interested.

I was going for Morrisville. If you want Indian that’s your place.

I’m actually in Morrisville right now. Park West Village.
